League Rules
The Living Rulebook version 4.0 is used in its entirety, except where noted in the house rules. This page details the league structure, while all clarifications and alterations to the BBRC 2K1 are noted in the house rules
League Structure
New Teams
- Starting cash for new teams will be 1 million Gold Coins.
- All teams from the Team Lists can be used.
Retiring Teams
- New teams may only normally be created at the beginning of a season.
- Coaches who wish to start a new team mid-season may only do so if their existing team is unable to field at least 7 players for their next match.
Season
- A regular season will be complete when all teams have played each other twice.
- If the league is divided into conferences then you must play each member of your own conference twice.
- A team may not play another team more than twice in a given season.
- Teams should avoid playing each other twice in a row.
League Rankings
- League points will be scored as follows: A team will score 3 league points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
- League point ties will be broken first by net touchdowns, then by net casualties, then by TD for, then by casualties for, then by Team rating.
Bribes
- You may bribe a player to withhold use of a handicap roll
- Selling the services of the team apothecary is acceptable. Note that coaches of teams that are not allowed to take and apothecary may still not use them, even in this way.
- Bribing a player to do anything that is not strictly prohibited in the rules is also exceptable. Example: bribing a player not to stand a certain player up (in exchange for healing said player) is legal, asking a coach to leave a player off the pitch when they have 11 or fewer players available is not (a coach must field up to 11 players if they can)
- Agreements are NOT guaranteed; money or services promised are not binding until delivered. However, money cannot be "taken back" once given to another coach.
Loans
- Loans are exclusively handled during the post and inter-match periods. No loans may be made or taken while either party is involved in a game, or during pre-match.
- Outstanding loans count against the team rating of both the debtor and creditor teams.
- A player is under no requirement to repay a loan and repayment cannot be forced.
- If a loan is unpaid at the end of a season then it stops counting against the creditors team rating.
